Miners Maze Review, location and pricing details

You will find Miner’s Maze Adventure Land located in Golden Colorado at Heritage Square. There are other attractions at this location so be sure to read the clearly marked signs that list the attractions you are purchasing. If you are in town I recommend the season pass as this would be most cost effective. The ropes course was challenging and encouraged our kids to work hard. They truly felt they had accomplished something when they completed this course.
The water walkers were tons of fun! “I felt like a gerbil!” my daughter said! We enjoyed our unlimited passes so the kids could try everything! There were lines to be waited in, but nothing unusual for an amusement type venue. Great place to let the kids just be kids. I would not recommend this for toddlers as much, but about ages 4 and up can certainly enjoy most all the activities! Be aware that there are height and weight restrictions for your safety,so call ahead to find out or read about those on my blog. (There is a bounce house that would be great for under age 4!)

Vacation Bible School while on vacation??? YES! Great idea!

We chose to send our kids to VBS while we were on vacation. We tend to travel the same time of year that our home church hosts VBS, so having to miss our home church, we try to find one so the kids can still get the experience! I have an advantage here, because I grew up in this neighborhood…so I have known the pastors and leaders for many years. I respect them and know their love for Jesus and children is of highest priority. The teaching is solid and I know my children will hear Bible stories, missionary stories and learn some wonderful Christian songs. (they EVEN sound Christian!!! ) SO, find a church in the area you are visiting, find out if they are having a VBS, attend with your kids if allowed, or volunteer to help out. You will hear some great stories and learn some fun songs! I have found that most churches will allow you to sit in on the group sessions if you ask. They may not allow you to volunteer without a background check or being a member of their church, so some other options, enjoy coffee out with your spouse , do some Bible reading or leisure reading on your own at a nearby park. Possibly plan to visit with your friends who don’t have children during these two-three hour programs. Your kids will get some much needed Bible teaching and you will get some much needed time to re-group and take care of yourself, your marriage, and your other friendships!

We certainly enjoyed this area of Miners Maze Adventureland with the four and six year old! There are three attractions in this section and our boys spent the majority of their time playing here!

The Mine Shaft Maze Web Crawl was challenging and very much appealed to our energetic four year old! He gave me the thumbs up when he reached the slide which is the finish line of this rubbery maze!

Try out the Jewel Jump’n Bouncy for your energetic toddler! Classic bounce house with climbing rope to the slide! Ages 1 1/2-12 years welcome to jump here!

Reach for the Colorado sky at the Magic Mountain Climb’n Wall! Adults can work at this venture as well! As you can tell the kids love it but I know some of you adults out there who could be examples and show us how to do it!

Great afternoon at the Denver Zoo!

Such a beautiful day in Denver, Colorado today! I have not had the opportunity to be at the Denver Zoo for a couple of years. They have certainly made some BIG changes! They have the same great Feline areas that have always been popular. The zebra viewing was wonderful as the zebras are in a prime location as you walk toward the Feline house area.

The Polar Bear did not feel like swimming this afternoon, but he did walk back and forth and eventually settle down in a spot where we could all see him! The kids always love to see how tall they are compared to him.

The Sea Lion show was pretty fun, sorry I don’t have any photos, but my son thought it was absolutely “Amazing that Sea Lion Nick can understand what that zoo keeper was telling him what to do!”

If you can spend some time in the Tropical Discovery Building, it is well worth it! All the kids enjoyed the amazing variety of animals and fish you can find here. Take your time, and search for the hidden creatures!

We wish we could have seen more elephants, maybe it was just not a good day to see them? We had to go inside their enclosure to see them. So, while their habitat at the zoo is amazing…we really just wanted to see the elephants…so, here is what we saw. I hope to return again soon and find more elephants enjoying their amazing habitat that the Denver Zoo has created!

Truly found the Clouded Leopard Clubs fascinating! They entertained us as they played and they were a joy to watch! Pictures were blurred….so sorry friends! You will just have to visit the zoo to see them! GO to the web site first to find out more information!
