Ute Indian Museum Montrose, Colorado

This was a very wonderful stop on our trip in Colorado this past summer. Pull off the Highway here to give your kids a nice break from the car and learn some amazing native American Colorado history! The Ute Indian Museum was filled with beautiful Native American clothing artifacts and instruments. This is a hands-ON place your kids will enjoy!

Playing in the tee pee was fun! They told us we could bring a picnic lunch and eat inside the tee pees if we wanted too!

Watch for bears!!!

Bear Dance history and story is so interesting! Go watch the video and try it out for yourself! Bones as instruments as well as drums provided!
